Wire Rope Testers (MFL)
Steel wire ropes in cranes, lifts, ropeways, mining and offshore applications develop broken wires, corrosion and loss of metallic area over time. Magnetic flux leakage (MFL) rope testers detect this damage in service, without removing the rope.
We offer R28, R58, R83 and R140 models for different rope diameters.

How does a wire rope tester work?
The tester saturates the rope with strong magnets; broken wires, corrosion and loss of section create magnetic flux leakage (MFL) picked up by sensors. The rope is tested in service, without removal.
Which model should I choose?
Choose by rope diameter: the compact R28 for small ropes, R58 and R83 for medium and heavy-duty ropes, and R140 for large-diameter ropes.
